Gene Ertel is a Film & TV Producer for the University of Missouri. He Graduated from MU in 1985 and moved to Kansas City where he worked as the Creative Services Director, Production Supervisor for TeleCable Targeting in Overland Park, Kansas. Gene then ventured out on his own as a freelance director in the Kansas City Metro area, specializing in automobile advertising. He has worked as a grip for HBO Film Truman, Warner Brothers Mars Attacks, and Sabin

Sweet Valley High. Gene is an avid creator and supporter of Independent
Film. His films have been screened at the SXSW film Festival in Austin
Texas, The Chicago Underground Film Festival, and the Kan Film Festival
in Lawrence Kansas, among many others.
